Former ATP Top 3 David Ferrer is still looking for his first win of the season on the dirt and will aim to do just that in his debut match in Millennium Estoril Open. The Spaniard, who received an Wild Card from the organization, will take on local Frederico Silva, who, this Monday, won his first main draw match of an ATP event by defeating Uzbek Denis Istomin ( 6-2 6-2).
Richard Gasquet was the other Sous Chef apprentice of the day. The Frenchman won the inaugural edition of the tournament back in 2015 and returns to Estoril as the second seed. Owner of one of the most celebrated one hand backhands in the circuit Gasquet was eager to finetune his cooking skills and learn a trick or too that will earn him a few points outside the court.
The Frenchman, who has been diligent in his training practices in Clube de Ténis do Estoril, will start is bid to lift the trophy in Estoril once again this Wednesday against Argentinian Carlos Berlocq, who defeated qualifier Elias Ymer (7-5, 6-4).
