Fognini out due to leg injurie
The italian player withdrew after his morning training session at Clube de Ténis do Estoril.
A week after skipping Barcelona Open, Fabio Fognini was once again forced to quit withdraw on his first presence at Millennium Estoril Open, where he had a second seed status to defend.
Recently crowned as champion at Monte Carlo - his career greatest achievement so far - the now world number 12 couldn't recover on time from the left leg injurie, which has been bothering him since the final at Monaco against Dusan Lajovic.
Fognini will now be replaced by his fellow countryman and lucky loser Filippo Baldi. Interestingly enough, Baldi will face Pablo Cuevas, another lucky loser.
