Chardy and Martin take the doubles title
The french duo beat the brits Luke Bambridge and Jonny O'Mara 7-5 and 7-6 (3) and lifted the doubles trophy at Millennium Estoril Open's fifth edition.
France and England face to face in the doubles final. Just like it had happened in the semis, the french duo was able to overcome the initial disadvantage to win the match against the british duo. Jérémy Chardy and Fabrice Martin got back from 5-2 in the first set and conquered five games in a row, closing at 7-5.
The second set, though, had no service losses (despite the two break points for the britons) and needed a tie-break to be decided: the early mini-break catapulted the gauls to their third title playing together, second this year, after Marseille in late February.
Stefanos Tsitsipas and Pablo Cuevas are the next protagonists to walk into Estádio Millennium, this time for the singles final.
