Kyle Edmund and Cameron Norrie conquer Doubles title in Millennium Estoril Open
Brits Kyle Edmund and Cameron Norrie became the 2018 Millennium Estoril Open Doubles champions after defeating Wesley Koolhof (NED) and Artem Sitak (NZL) 6-4 6-2 to lift their first trophy in an ATP event.
In their first tournament as a team Edmund and Norrie needed just one hour and nine minutes to overpower their rivals in straight sets in Estádio Millennium.
It was the first ATP title for both Edmund and Norrie, and indeed their first final. In their journey to lift the trophy the Brit pair had to defeat Argentinians Delbonis/Kicker, Australians De Minaur/Hewitt and in the Semi-finals portuguese João Sousa and Argentinian Leonardo Mayer.
Koolhof and Sitak were looking for their first ATP title as a team, (they had previously reached four finals, most recently in New York and São Paulo) and arrived in Estoril after a good campaign in Spain where they won the Alicante Challanger Doubles title.
